  • The activity you are performing
  • Details about the state of our application
  • Information about what device the application is running on

When using our API server, we may collect the following information:

  • Your MyAnimeList Username and Password1
  • The IP address from which you are connecting
  • The API endpoint you are calling

What we do with the information we gather

We require the information to improve the application and API, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping
  • Crash report diagnostics
  • Analytics for improving our service and application

We will never sell, distribute, or transfer your information to any third party.

Security

We are committed to protecting your information. To prevent unauthorized access, we have in place suitable physical, electronic, and procedures to safeguard the information we collect.

In our application, we use system-provided interfaces to safely store account credentials when a device is unmodified (not rooted). For our API, we never store the MyAnimeList password outside system memory for the time needed to perform the requested action

1. Please note that the password for your MyAnimeList account is stored only on the device where the application is installed and used. When we collect the password for our API service, it is only used for the requested transaction with MyAnimeList and then discarded. We never store your password on our API service.
